About Us
The National Independence Front of Afghanistan is a national political movement established in 1400 of the Solar Hijri calendar (2021) in response to the profound political transformations in Afghanistan and the vacuum created by the collapse of previous state structures. The Front was founded with the objective of safeguarding national independence, restoring the sovereignty of the people, and promoting the establishment of a political system grounded in freedom, justice, the rule of law, and human dignity.
Since its inception, the National Independence Front of Afghanistan has sought to address the crisis of political legitimacy in the country through political, civil, and diplomatic initiatives. By encouraging national consensus and constructive engagement with the international community, the Front has worked toward creating the necessary conditions for the emergence of an inclusive, accountable, and democratic system. Throughout this process, the Front has consistently emphasized dialogue, peaceful resolution of disputes, and the use of legitimate political means as the primary path toward national stability and reconciliation.
At the same time, the continued concentration of power, the widespread restriction of citizens' fundamental rights and freedoms, and the shrinking of political space have limited the effectiveness of diplomatic efforts at various stages. Under such circumstances, while continuing its political and civic activities, the National Independence Front of Afghanistan has, in certain cases and within the framework of legitimate self-defense and counterterrorism efforts, undertaken limited security measures aimed at protecting civilians, countering extremist threats, and preventing the further spread of instability and violence.
The National Independence Front of Afghanistan firmly believes that the future of the country can only be secured through genuine public participation, the establishment of legitimate and accountable institutions, and the development of a political order founded upon justice, law, and equal citizenship. Accordingly, the Front considers itself committed, as a responsible national alternative, to mobilizing all political, social, intellectual, and national capacities in pursuit of a free, stable, peaceful, and prosperous Afghanistan.
