The National Independence Front of Afghanistan informs the people of Afghanistan that, this evening, forces affiliated with the Front conducted a planned operation in the vicinity of Aino Mina Square in Kandahar Province, resulting in the death of Taj Mir Javad, identified as the Deputy Director General of Intelligence of the Taliban authorities in Kandahar.
The Front regards this operation as a significant development and a clear warning to those responsible for the continued repression, violence, and systematic violations committed against the people of Afghanistan.
The National Independence Front reiterates its position that officials and commanders directly responsible for the Taliban’s security and coercive apparatus may be subject to resistance operations. The Front further maintains that those responsible for serious abuses cannot assume that their positions or authority will shield them from accountability.
The National Independence Front of Afghanistan remains committed to its stated objective of ending the Taliban’s monopoly on power and establishing a legitimate, inclusive, representative, and accountable political order founded upon the will and rights of the Afghan people.
The Front reaffirms that its struggle will continue until Afghanistan achieves genuine national independence, political freedom, justice, and a future in which all citizens can live with dignity, security, and equal rights.
